Distantly Near

The distant memories that are also all too close.
Penned down in ink.
Ink that’s not seen on your average paper.
The bitter struggles of love and affection
A story or stories that remain untold.
Strictly written by the hurt within the soul.
Hidden
By the fake smiles we give to people.
But once in a while
We find ourselves stuffed into a corner.
Gripped by an unclenching fear
Afraid if our hearts are broken again
All the words of our pain will leak out.
And the hole made by heart break won’t be able to be fixed or patched.
