Under Attack

Genre: Suspense/Humor

At first I didn’t take notice but then it slowly dawned on me. I was being stalked. I saw them encircling me. Numerous hunters and I was the lone victim. They were placing themselves in strategic positions ready to attack. I’ve never felt so vulnerable. My heart started palpitating and my hands all of a sudden became clammy. I tried to quicken my pace but they retaliated by rubbing their hands together and quickening their advance. I couldn’t postpone the inevitable. I gave up the fight as they came in for their meal. I thought to myself let them have it. I tossed aside my plate and looked up to the heavens. ‘Noah dared I ask did you really have to let flies into the ark?’
