The Jungle

Its such a spectacular sight,

The morning sunlight giving you an invite;
Cautiously you advance further into the trees,
There’s a unique scented breeze,
At first glance it looks deserted, its as if the jungle is asleep.
You mistakenly step on a twig,
Chirp chirp the birds sing as they awake,
Nearby you hear the hissing of a snake
A white rabbit dashes right by you
Surprised you jump back and slip on the morning dew
Lying on the ground you take a moment to digest the awesome view
It’s breathtaking how nature paints a picture
Not far away your eye catches a herd of deer
There’s buzzing that seems quite near
The apparent chaos is music in your ears
If only this feeling your camera could capture
The jungle is now alive
And to your left you spot a bee hive
The earth trembles you realise its the biggest of the big five
They seem to be just passing by
In the distance is the sound of a rushing stream
High up you see the monkeys swinging from tree to tree
In the wild is where animals survive and live free
Let’s protect our forests you now truly agree.
